Yvonne Poulette LeBlanc Littell

Opelousas- Funeral services for Mrs. Yvonne LeBlanc Littell, known to many as Poulette, age 79, will be held at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesday, June 16, 2009, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Landry Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the St. John Cemetery in Lafayette.

Msgr. Robert Romero will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Yvonne was born in Lafayette, LA and was a longtime resident of Opelousas. She died on Sunday, June 14, 2009, at her home. She was a homemaker and loved spending time with her family especially her children and grandchildren.

She had a warm heart, a true gift of hospitality and laughter. She was a very devoted wife of 59 years, and a wonderful mother of seven children. She was called Maw Maw Tell by her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be sadly missed by all.

Mourning her death yet cherishing her memories are her husband, Mr. Robert Hart Buddy Littell, Jr. of Opelousas; one sister, Jeanette Larson of Lafayette; seven children: Dianne Dee Daigle and husband, Bill of Lafayette; Bernard Benny Littell and wife, Trista of Youngsville; Laura Dupre and husband, David of Opelousas; Ricky Littell and wife, Lisa of Austin, Texas; Charles Littell and wife, Alison of Salina, Kansas; Mike Littell of Lafayette; and Cathy McKinney and husband, David of Lafayette; 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Preceded in death by her parents: Bernard and Adele LeBlanc; and three brothers: Tommy LeBlanc, Charles Anthony LeBlanc, and Bernard Roy Pompy LeBlanc.

Pallbearers will be Benny, Rick, Mike, and Charles Littell; Bill Daigle, and Nick Gerald. Honorary pallbearers will be David Dupre, David McKinney, Chris Gerald, Will Daigle, Sam Littell, Hart Littell, and Zack Littell.
