Yvonne Fontenot

Opelousas-A Funeral Service will be held for Yvonne F. Fontenot, age 83 at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016, at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow at Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Father James Brady will celebrate the Funeral Service.

Yvonne was a resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at her home in Opelousas. Mrs. Yvonne enjoyed cooking and spending time with her family. Her favorite pastime was going to the Casino and being with her family and friends as much as possible. She is going to be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Survivors include her son, Randy Fontenot and wife Paulette of Carencro; daughters, Darlene Kachian and life's partner Jake Smith, of Lafayette, Dianne Myers of Lafayette; sister, Isabelle Fontenot of Breaux Bridge; sister-in-law, Lucy Fontenot of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Donald Simon Fontenot; parents, Arcade and Eda B. Blanchard Fontenot.

The visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 22, 2016. A Rosary service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Monday.
