Yvonne Boutte

Port Barre - A Mass of Christian Burial for Yvonne Fontenot Boutte will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. Ft. Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.

Yvonne was a resident of Port Barre she passed away on Saturday, June 11, 2016, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 82. Yvonne enjoyed reading, attend church, watching TV, and playing "Pokeno". She was a past member of Ladies Altar Society, and a member of Living Rosary.

She is survived by children, Lucien Boutte and his wife, Brenda of Port Barre, Patrick "Jude" Boutte and his wife, Mary of Jarreau, Lawrence Boutte, of Port Barre, Roderic "Pappy" Richard of Opelousas, and Donna Lanclos and her husband, Keith of Port Barre, eight grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Philibert Boutte, her parents, Evant and Maria Deshotel Fontenot, two grandchildren, T-Pap and Amber Richard, her brother, Lawrence Fontenot, her sister, Jacqueline Tate.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 15, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m. a rosary will be recited at 10:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre.
