Wilton Paul Pomier

Wilton Paul Pomier, beloved son, brother, and friend, passed away on October 23, 2023, at Calcutta House. Born on December 7, 1955, in Lafayette, Wilton graced the world with his presence for 67 years. He will forever be remembered for his loving and caring nature that touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Wilton's warm heart and kind soul radiated throughout his life. His genuine care for others was evident in every act of kindness he extended to both family and friends. He had a remarkable ability to bring people together and create an atmosphere of love and unity. Wilton's magnetic personality had a way of making everyone feel valued and cherished.

A man who valued his loved ones above all else, Wilton was deeply committed to his family. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Belzi Pomier, as well as his brothers Albert Pomier and Ban Pomier, and sisters Annabell Pomier and Dorothy Pomier. Wilton's passing leaves a void that will be felt profoundly by those who loved him dearly.

Despite the immeasurable loss experienced by Wilton's departure from this world, he leaves behind a legacy of love that will endure through the memories shared with those he held dear. His surviving sisters Eva Miller of Sunset, Inez Mire of Duson, Theresa Vallot of Lafayette, and Linda Lege of Lafayette will carry forward his memory with strength and love.

Friends and family are invited to join in honoring the beautiful life lived by Wilton at the forthcoming memorial services. Visitation will take place on October 25, 2023, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Sibille Funeral Home in Grand Coteau. The Funeral Service will be held immediately after at 2:00 PM. Finally, Wilton will be laid to rest at 2:30 PM in the serene grounds of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church Cemetery, located in LA, United States.

Wilton's life was a testament to the power of compassion and kindness. His character and empathy inspired all those who had the pleasure of knowing him. His legacy lives on in each memory shared by family and friends, as well as in the hearts he touched during his time on Earth. Though we mourn his passing, let us also celebrate Wilton's remarkable life- a life that will forever be etched in our hearts.
