Wilsey Noel

OPELOUSAS A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, December 4, 2013, in Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church of Opelousas, LA, for Wilsey Noel. Interment will follow in the Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.
He passed away on December 2, 2013, at his residence. Rev. Father Paul Bienvenu, of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church will celebrate the Mass.
Mr. Wilsey was a resident of Opelousas. He enjoyed cooking, making Boudin, Sausage, Cracklins, loved the outdoors, and raising a big garden with the help of his wife Mrs. Ozea, they also owned Noels Kitchen.

Survivors include his wife, Ozea M. Noel of Opelousas, sons, Ellis Noel and wife, Laura of Opelousas, Felix Noel and wife, Millie of Opelousas, step sons, J.L. Brown and wife, Janice of Opelousas, Glen Brown and wife, Georgina of Opelousas, and Leroy Brown and wife, Charlene of Opelousas, daughter, Helen Boss of Opelousas, daughter n law, Anna Lee Noel of Eunice, step daughters, Ruth Doucet and husband, Roy of Arnaudville, Gloria Olivier and husband, Roy of Eunice, and Geneva Pitre and husband, Ray of Opelousas, one granddaughter he raised like his on daughter, April Brown Carrier, of Opelousas, sisters, Mabel Robert of Lawtell, Hazel Darbonne of Eunice, and Anna Lois Noel of Eunice, fifteen grandchildren, fifteen step grandchildren, thirty great grandchildren, eighteen step great grandchildren, and three step great great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raphael and Emelda Breaux Noel, son Ashton Noel, step daughter, Laura Devillier, brothers, Lawrence and Allen Noel.

The family requests that visitation be held on Tuesday, December 3, 2013, from 5 p.m. 9 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 1:30 pm.
A Rosary Service will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
