Opelousas - Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Fr. Gregory Semien will conduct the Funeral Service. Interment will follow in the Bertrand Cemetery in Prairie Ronde.

Ms. Wilma was a resident of Lewisburg, Louisiana. She passed from this life on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Lafayette. Ms. Wilma was faithful to her Church, Our Lady of Mercy Catholic of Opelousas. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother and is going to be missed by all that knew and loved her.

Ms. Wilma is survived by her son, Elvee H. Thomassee, Jr. and wife Theresa of Washington; daughters, Wilda Andrus of Opelousas, Nancy Stelly of Washington; sister, Bertha Higginbotham of Church Point and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Ms.Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Elvee H. Thomassee, Sr.; parents, Ignace and Eugenia Daigle Lyons; son, James K. Richard, step-son, Calvin Thomassee; sisters, Irene Huckaby and Iris Guidry.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 from 9:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m.
