Willie Galloway, Sr.

PORT BARRE- A Funeral Service will be held for Willie Galloway, Sr. at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 11, 2019, in the First Baptist Church in Port Barre. Pastor Benji Richard will conduct the service. Burial will follow the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Mr. Willie, age 64, a resident of Prairie Ronde and native of Port Barre, passed away on Sunday, December 8, 2019.

Mr. Willie was employed with Superior Foundations and worked as a mechanic for 23 years with Rick’s Auto Repair in Washington. He loved everything outdoors, especially squirrel hunting, bass fishing and working with the crew. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his wife, Laura Way Galloway of Prairie Ronde; son, Willie Galloway, Jr. of Florida; daughters, Jamy Galloway of Port Barre, Stacey Galloway Ducote and husband, Gerald of Port Barre; sisters, Sheila Galloway of Port Barre, Vanessa Galloway Sharp and husband, Larry of Turkey Creek; brother-in-law, Donald Estilette and wife Monica of Port Barre; 3 grandchildren, Noah and Alexa Ducote, and Dylan Galloway; and godchild, Dana Truax.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Dewitt and Hilda Galloway; infant daughter, Angel Galloway; sister, Eva Lea Leger and husband, Carey.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 10:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. in Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. A rosary will be recited at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening. Visitation will continue Wednesday from 8:00 a.m. until time of service.
