William Griffin

Opelousas Funeral services for William Hayden Griffin, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October, 25, 2012, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park.

William was a resident of Mansura, LA. He passed away on Monday, October 22, 2012, at his home at the age of 72. He was a Home Builder Contractor, and in his spare time he enjoyed hunting. He was a member of the American Legion 186 in Cotton Port, LA. He was a wonderful, loving, and caring husband, father, brother, grandfather and great grandfather. He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Survivors include his loving wife, Mrs. Gloria Stelly Griffin of Mansur, LA, his children Billy Ray Griffin and his wife, Maxine of Kenner, LA, Deedra Griffin of Placheville, LA., Brenda Knoll and her husband, Daniel of Gonzales, LA., and two step daughters, Monette Evans and her husband, Gary of Lafayette, and Pamela Roberts of McDonah, Georgia, one sister, Evelyn Kenaley of Baton Rouge, 11 grandchildren and 7 greatgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents Ray and Deadra Anders Griffin.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas, on Wednesday, October 24, 2012, from 9 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. in the funeral home.
