William Amy

Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial for Mr. William Amy will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 at Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas. Monsignor Keith DeRouen will celebrate the Mass.

William, age 82, a resident of Opelousas, passed away on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at the Crossing at Clarity Hospice in Baton Rouge.

William is survived by his daughters, Angela Duplechin of Spring, TX and Christy Amy of Spring, TX; brothers, Eldridge Amy of Opelousas and Charles Amie of Shreveport; 3 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

William is preceded in death by his wife, Virginia Amy; son, John Blake Amy; and parents, Eldridge Amy and Mary Sydney Amy.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 11, 2021 from 8:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Opelousas. The rosary will be recited at 9:30 a.m. by Deacon Jerome Collins.
