Wilda Deshotel

Bayou Rouge- Funeral services for Wilda Ester Deshotel, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, July 3, 2017, in the Bayou Rouge Pentecostal Church. Rev. Bob Fruen will conduct the service. Rite of Committal will be held at Methodist Cemetery in Palmetto.

Wilda age 97, passed away on Friday, June 30, 2017, at her home. She will be greatly missed by her family, friends and all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by loving children, James Reed Leger and his wife, Janet of Bayou Rouge, Gerald Leger and his wife, Kathy of Bayou Rouge, Allen Dean Leger and his wife Lisa, of Bayou Rouge, Leon Anthony Leger and his wife, Jan of Bayou Rouge, Randy Wayne Leger and his wife, Daphne of Linden, Tenn., and Pauline Leger Henagan and her husband, Jerry of Livingston, nineteen grandchildren, thirty two great-grandchildren and thirty one great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death her husband, Anthony "Slim" Leger, her parents, Edgar and Ola Bertrand, two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

The family requests visitation be held on Monday, July 3, 2017 from 9:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Bayou Rouge Pentecostal Church in Bayou Rouge.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas, LA.
