OPELOUSAS- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held For Wilda Cradeur on Friday, March 24, 2023 at 12:30 p.m. in Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church in Opelousas. Msgr. Keith DeRouen will celebrate the Mass. Visitation will be held on Friday in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas from 10:30 a.m. until 12:00 noon; the rosary will be recited at 11:45 by Deacon Ulysse Joubert. Rite of Committal will follow at Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum.
Wilda, age 90, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, March 21, 2023. Wilda was known for loving her four children, Mike, Janice, Joey and Mia. She enjoyed spoiling her eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren to the fullest.
Wilda was born and raised in Eunice, LA and graduated from Eunice High and TH Harris. She was a resident of Mandeville, LA for the past seven years. Wilda was a teacher’s aide for thirteen years and enjoyed working with special needs children.
She was a parishioner of Our Lady Queen of Angels church where she taught religion for two years, was a member of the altar society and was a chairperson of the grievance committee.
Wilda served as President and Vice President of the Pink Ladies of Doctors Hospital and was a member for twenty-six years. She was also a member of the Council of Aging for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends and all who knew and loved her.
Wilda is preceded in death by her husband, Rives Cradeur, her parents, Denver and Rena LeJuene, and granddaughter, Tara Rogers.
Pallbearers will be her grandsons and great-grandson.
