Wayne Dubroc

Port Barre- A Funeral Service will be held for Wayne Dubroc on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Courtableau Baptist Church of Port Barre. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. Pastor Keith Davidson will conduct the service. Burial will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.

Wayne, a resident of Livonia and native of Port Barre, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 29, 2023 at the age 73, surrounded by his loving family.

Wayne served his country proudly in the United States Navy. He enjoyed spending time outdoors and was an avid hunter. Wayne loved entertaining his friends and family while playing the drums. He will be remembered as a loving family man who cherished spending time with his family and grandchildren. Wayne will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Wayne is survived by his wife of 47 years, Shelly Dubroc of Livonia; son, Brett Dubroc and wife, Marisa of Livonia; daughters, Mindy Hooks and husband, Tommy of Livonia and Amanda Dubroc and fiancé, Tommy Carriere of Church Point; brother, Mike Dubroc of Port Barre; sister, Karen Andrus of Port Barre; grandchildren, Kaylee Dubroc, Grayson Hooks, Gage Hooks, Beatrice Verdicchio, Carlos Cánovas, Kali Lafleur, Ashley Carriere, Gabby Carriere, Gavin Carriere, Addison Carriere, Tucker Janise, Konor Dubroc and Kami Dubroc; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Doris Dubroc; his in-laws, Harry and Bernice Doucet; a special cousin, Dale Galland, and brother in law, Sonny Andrus.

Pall Bearers will be Tommy Hooks, Leon Andrus, Jr., Joey Andrus, Erin Hidalgo, Ethan Hidalgo, and Blake Quebedeaux. Honorary pall bearers will be Jerry Doucet, Mike Dubroc and Riley Andrus.
