Warren Earl Fontenot

OPELOUSAS-  Funeral Service will be held for Warren Earl Fontenot on Friday, August 11, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas. Visitation will be on Friday, August 11, 2023 from 10:00 am until time of service, with a Rosary at 1:45 p.m.

Mr. Warren, age 88, a resident of Lawtell and native of Opelousas, entered into eternal rest on Friday, July 21, 2023 at his residence.

Mr. Warren was a devout catholic and dedicated parishioner of St. Bridget Catholic Church for many years. 

He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Nona Fontenot Tate, Jenny Fontenot Kennedy, Gwen Fontenot Ragusa, Craig Fontenot, Laurie Fontenot Bond, Toni Marks Mora; and great-nephew, Marcus Hebert.  

He is preceded in death by his wife, Monez Passman Fontenot; parents, Charles R. Fontenot, Sr. and Helena B. Fontenot; brothers, J.C. Fontenot, Goldman Fontenot, Raymond Fontenot and Donald Fontenot; sisters, Betty Jo Marks and Norma Lee Fontenot; nieces, Shelia Marks Hebert, Carolyn Brinkman, Mary Catherine Patton, Lisa Macip; and nephew, Randy Fontenot.
