Wallace Miller

Port Barre Funeral services for Mr. Wallace Joseph Miller, age 60, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, December 12, 2011, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery. Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass.
He was a native of Leonville and a resident of Opelousas. He died on Thursday, December 8, 2011, at his residence.
Survivors include two stepsons: Robbie Stelly of Opelousas and Chris Stelly of Lawtell two stepdaughters: Tracey Gates of Covington and Yvonne Stelly of Port Barre three brothers: George Miller and wife, Betty of Leonville Russell Miller and wife, Susan of Port Barre and Ray Miller of Prairie Ronde two sisters: Bertha Richard and husband, Nolan of Prairieville and Priscilla Kidder and husband, Howard of Parks special stepgrandchild, Michael Stelly of Covington 16 stepgrandchildren and 2 step greatgrandchildren. He also had special friends and caregivers: Kathy LeBlanc, Emily Bergeron, and Gerald Bergeron.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Nola Guidroz Stelly Miller parents: John and Mary Miller and sister, Bessie Ortego.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Sunday, December 11, 2011, from 11 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Monday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m.
A Rosary service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday evening in the funeral home.
