Virginia Perry Savoy

Grand Coteau-Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Perry Savoy, 87, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, July 12, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the St. Charles Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park in Opelousas.

Father James Lambert will conduct the services.

Mrs. Savoy was a life-long resident of Sunset and died at 9:42 p.m. on Tuesday, July 10, 2007, in Doctor's Hospital of Opelousas. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, and a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include: one son, Bob Savoy and wife, Debbie of Sunset; one granddaughter, Kiesha Bouquet and husband, Gerald of Youngsville; and one great granddaughter, Gwendolyn Ann Bouquet.

Mrs. Savoy was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Savoy, her parents: J. Aaron Perry and Theresa Sibille Perry; three brothers: Charlie Perry, Earl Perry, and Alfred Perry; and a very close friend, Ms. Lois Domingue.

Pallbearers will be Frankie Domingue, Theo Domingue, Louis Domingue, Raymond Domingue, Dr. Charlie Dugal, and Richard McCrocklin. Honorary pallbearers will be Tom Thompson, Randy Block, and Jay Domingue.

Visiting hours will be observed on Wednesday, July 11 from 4:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau. On Thursday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

A rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday in the funeral home.
