Bayou Rouge- Funeral services for Virginia Ledoux Phillips will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 17 2014, at Bayou Rouge Pentecostal Church in Bayou Rouge. Interment will follow in the Bayou Rouge Church Cemetery. Rev. Dallas Shuff will conduct the services.
Virginia was a resident of Palmetto. She passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2014, at Tri Community Nursing Home, at the age of 88. She loved to cook, and visit with her children and grandchildren. She was a life long member of the First Pentecostal Church of Bayou Rouge. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Survivors include her children, Gary Ledoux and his wife, Tammy of Arkansas, Brad Ledoux and his wife, Tracy of Baton Rouge, Darrell Ledoux of Opelousas, Margaret Ledoux and her husband, Leland of Palmetto, Tammie Cruse, and her husband, Curtis of Palmetto, daughter-in-law's, Sylvia Ledoux and Brenda Wildman, sisters, Amarone Soileau of Lafayette, Verdnay Ledoux, of Palmetto, and Velma Escott of Melville, fourteen grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her, parents Oscar and Genevieve Bertrand Darbonne, her two husbands, Frank Ledoux and Bill Phillips, sons, Mike and Robert Ledoux, grandson, Weston Ledoux.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Bayou Rouge Pentecostal Church, on Thursday, July 16, 2014, from 5:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Friday, July 17, 2015 at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 11:00 a.m.
