Virginia Lanclos

Opelousas -A Mass of Christian Burial for Virginia Lanclos, age 80, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 18, 2015, in the St. Leo Catholic Church. Interment will follow at the St. Leo Cemetery in Leonville. Fr. Godwin Nzeh will celebrate the Mass.
Mrs. Virginia was a native of Leonville and longtime resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Tuesday, July 14, 2015, at her home in Opelousas.
She enjoyed gardening, spending time with her children and grand children. She was a very loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include her children, Roger Lanclos and his wife, Lucille of Carencro,, Charles Lanclos and wife, Pam of Port Barre, and Glenda Dugas and her companion, Bobby Ortego, of Opelousas, nine grandchildren and twenty five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by husband, Clifton Lanclos, her parents, Leonard and Virginia Perry Fitzgerald, her son, Terry Lanclos.


Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2015, from 3:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Saturday, visitation will continue from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
A rosary a service will be prayed at 7:00 p.m. on Friday evening in the funeral home chapel.
