Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Virginia Ann Papa Amy,68, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 13, 2008, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery.

Rev. Angelo Cremaldi will conduct the services.

Mrs. Virginia passed away on Tuesday, March 11, 2008 at 6:30 A.M. at her residence In Opelousas. Mrs. Virginia was born in Opelousas and lived her whole life here. She was co-owner of Amy Insurance agency with her husband William, was a member of Our Lady Queen of Angels Church, a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her.

Survivors include her husband, William Amy of Opelousas, daughters, Angela Duplechin and husband Marshall of Covington, La, Christy Amy of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, David, Michael and Tyler Duplechin.

Mrs. Amy was preceded in death by her parents: John and Fannie Papa and a son, Blake Amy and her brother John Papa, Jr.

Visiting hours will be observed on Thursday, March 13, 2008, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
