Morrow, LA Funeral services for Mrs. Virella O'Neal LeDay, 91, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 28, 2007, at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church in Morrow, LA. Interment will follow at Mt. Zion Baptist Church Cemetery in Whiteville, LA. Rev. Leon Figgins will conduct the services.

Mrs. LeDay was born in Whiteville, LA, a native of Morrow, LA and a resident of Tri-Community Nursing Home in Palmetto, LA for the past several years. She died at 12:50 p.m. on Tuesday, July 17, 2007, at the St. Landry Extended Care Hospital in Opelousas, LA.

She was a homemaker, a loving caretaker, and a devoted wife, mother, sister, aunt and grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who loved and knew her.

Survivors include one son, Herbert Herb Franklin, Sr. and wife, Stephanie of San Jose, CA; one grandson, Herbert Herb Franklin, Jr. and wife, Lisa of Litchfield, AZ; and three great-grandchildren: Kristine, Luke, and Amber Franklin, all of Litchfield, AZ. She also has a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mrs. Virella was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Dave LeDay; her parents: Garnett ONeal and Annie Harris; two brothers: George O'Neal and Ben Thomas; and four sisters: Sophie Baker, Julia O'Neal, Alto O'Neal, and Viola O'Neal.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Baker, Moses Stevens, Robert ONeal, Melvin ONeal, McKinley Thomas and Peter Thomas.

Visiting hours will be observed on Saturday, July 28, 2007, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Plymouth Rock Baptist Church in Morrow, LA.
