Port Barre Funeral services and visitation for Vernon Joseph Thibodeaux, 54, will be held at 11AM Thursday, October 19, 2006 in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Barre.

Vernon Joseph Thibodeaux, a resident of Port Barre, died at 7:35PM Tuesday October 17, 2006 at Doctors Hospital of Opelousas.

Mr. Thibodeaux was a welder by trade and loved woodworking as his hobby.

Musical selections will be provided by Valerie Andrus.

Survivors include: Wife Wendy Bazar Thibodeaux of Port Barre; two sons Vernon Jay Thibodeaux and wife Miranda of Sulphur, Jason Thibodeaux and Kylie of Port Barre; two step sons Jason Quebedeaux and wife Nikki of Port Barre and Chad Quebedeaux and wife Sicily of Port Barre; a daughter Dana Quebedeaux of Port Barre; a brother Erwin Thibodeaux and wife Ethel of Arnaudville; a step brother Mike Daigle and wife Cindi of Mire; a sister Sandra Creduer and husband Ronnie of Duson; a step sister Toni Toney and Rody of Slidell; two grandchildren Austin Jay Thibodeaux and Aedon Joseph Thibodeaux; eight step grandchildren Dawn, Tyler and Kristen Guillory, Taylor, Lane, Connor, and Cami Quebedeaux and Ashley Head.

Mr. Thibodeaux was preceded in death by his parents Ferdie Ignatious Thibodeaux, Sr. and Thelma Olivier Thibodeaux, two brothers Curtis Albert and Ferdie Ignatious Thibodeaux, Jr. and his grandparents Albert Olivier Sr. and Bernadette Robin Olivier.

Visiting hours will be observed from 9-11AM in the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catholic Church in Port Barre.
