Velma Marie Stelly Stoute

Port Barre Funeral services were held for Velma Marie Stelly Stoute, age 79, at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, with a service in the Sibille Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery in Port Barre.
Rev. Benny Reppond will officate the Service.
Velma was a resident of Opelousas. She passed away on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 in the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Opelousas.
Velma loved being with her family she enjoyed family gatherings, camping. Velma loved being outdoors with her husband.
Survivors include her children Michael Stoute and wife, Cricket of Krotz Springs, Linda Boyler, of Wills TX., Sandra Douet and husband, Stephan of Lafayette, brothers Norvan Stelly of Opelousas, Donald Stelly of Krotz Springs, and Terry Stelly of Port Barre, sister Patricia Pat Thomassee, of Fordoche, Etheline Calloway of Crowley, and Marylyce Stelly, Opelousas and Verna Lanclos of Port Barre, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

Velma was preceded in death by her parents, Nolty and Theresa Lalonde Stelly, her husband, Albert Lee Stoute, brother, Jessie Sonny Stelly.
Pallbearers will be Steve Stelly, Gregory Stelly, L.J. Thibodeaux, Matthew Baylor.
Visiting hours was observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Wednesday, July 13, 2011, from 9 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
