Port Barre -A Mass of Christian Burial for Troy Aymond will be held at 11:00 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 with Rev. Fth. Daniel Picard as the celebrant of the Mass. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Church Cemetery. Readers for the Mass will be Lori Aymond and Jeanne Aymond and the gift bearers will be Kyla Rivette, Kennedi Aymond and Jana Ardoin.

Troy passed away on Thursday, January 8, 2015 at Lake Charles Memorial Hospital. Troy was a native of Port Barre and worked at Cameron Iron for the last 24 years as an engineering specialist. He was an avid sports fan especially of the LSU Tigers. Some of his pastime activities included cycling, working out, fishing and barbequing. He was a loving father, son, and brother. He was looking forward to welcoming his first grandchild due in April. Troy loved spending time with his family and friends and helping people. His final act of giving was through LOPA in organ and tissue donation. Troy is going to be deeply missed by all that knew and loved him.

Survivors include his children, Reagan Aymond and companion Caleb McRaniels, Matthew Troy Aymond, Chipper; mother, Vivian O. Aymond and brother, Brent Paul Aymond all of Port Barre and his special friend Antoinette Ortego of Ville Platte.

He was preceded in death by his father, Andrew "Baby" Aymond, brother, Mark Jason Aymond; paternal grandparents, Emile, Sr. and Emiline Quebedeaux Aymond; and maternal grandparents, Jerome, Sr. and Marie Stelly Olivier.

Pallbearers will be Matt, Alex and Scottie Aymond, Shannon Bourque, Jimbo Thomassee and Shannon Ardoin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Blake, Jamie and Brent Aymond.

A visitation will be 12:00 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. on Monday, January 12, 2015 and the Funeral Home will reopen on Tuesday at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Rosary Service will be held on Monday Night at 6:30 p.m.
