Opelousas Memorial services for Mr. Trent B. Jennings, age 76, will be held at 5 p.m. on Tuesday, September 14. 2010, in the Washington Baptist Church. Private interment will follow at a later date in the Little Red Church Cemetery.
Rev. Louis Charrier will officiate the services.
Mr. Trent was a native of Deer Park, Texas, and lifelong resident of Opelousas. He died on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at the Opelousas General Health System.
He was a U. S. Navy Veteran who proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict. He worked as a bulldozer operator in road construction for many years. He was a member of Washington Baptist Church and was also a Sunday School Teacher.
He will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Mrs. Robbie Stanford Jennings of Opelousas one son, Kenneth Pilgreen and wife, Karen of Lafayette two brothers, Bruce Jennings and wife, Elsie of Opelousas and Arnold Jennings and wife, Susan of Houston, TX 5 grandchildren and 6 greatgrandchildren.
He is preceded in death by one daughter, Patti Pilgreen his parents: Edward Jennings and Hazel Barrett Jennings and one brother, Oren Jennings.
The family would like to invite everyone to a Fellowship Reception following the memorial services in the Washington Baptist Church.
