Tony Nezat

Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Tony Christopher Nezat, on Monday, December 5, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Port Barre. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow in the church cemetery.

Tony, age 55, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, December 1, 2022 at Lafayette General Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Tony enjoyed riding and working on his motorcycle and race cars. He loved listening to some good music and cooking with his friend, Bill. Tony adored his daughter and could often be found helping her with any tasks she needed done. He will be remembered as a loving father, son, brother and friend. Tony was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He will be greatly missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his lifelong companion, Melanie Nezat and their daughter, Holly Nezat; mother, Eleanor Lassos Nezat; and brother, Mark Nezat.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joseph Kerry Nezat; and brother, Kerry “Joey” Joseph Nezat.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 4, 2022 from 10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre. The rosary will be recited at 5:00 p.m. on Sunday. Visitation will resume on Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre.
