It is with badly broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beautiful, wonderful, Toni Hoffpauir. Toni received God’s Glory and entered His Kingdom of eternal life on Monday, September 6, 2021, at LGMC after a short battle with Covid19.
Left to cherish her memory and carry on her log of family & traditions are her daughter, Tracy Tromblay Roger and husband Phil of Carencro, her oldest granddaughter, Bailey Riddle Hidalgo & husband Chris of Opelousas, youngest granddaughter, Addysen Claire Roger of Carencro, great grands, Ian Christopher Hidalgo of Opelousas, and her loving & faithful companion of 8 years, Ray Gautreaux of Opelousas. Toni is also survived by 2 male cousins who she thought of as brothers, Kenneth Manuel & Charles Jagneaux, and 2 female cousins who were as sisters to her, Dianne Smith & Denise Jagneaux. Toni also leaves behind her Goddaughter Jamie H Brinkhaus, and her Godson Gary C Tromblay as well as countless cousins & friends. This wonderful lady never met a stranger, and her legacy will forever reflect this amazing quality.
She was preceded in passing by her beloved husband of 32 years, Buddy (Hayden) Hoffpauir, her parents, Elsie Mae Hargroder Quebedeaux & Clay Quebedeaux, maternal grandparents Mr. & Mrs. Elby Hargroder, and her first husband, Barry Tromblay.
Toni spent her working years in the medical field in Opelousas working for numerous doctors including Dr. C Bertrand, Dr G Prather, Dr. B Prather, and Dr. Michael Dibbs. Toni’s true passions in life were her family and her love of holiday traditions. She prepared & set a wonderful buffet and decorated the most magnificent Christmas trees you could imagine. She had a generous spirit and an immeasurable kindness that will be forever unmatched. Toni’s hugs will be so fondly remembered by everyone who ever had the pleasure of receiving one. She had a love for flowers & plants and everything beautiful, but nothing was ever as beautiful as her. We can all only hope to spread love and be half the person she was on this earth. She will be forever missed until we are joined together again in paradise.
Pall bearers will be Christopher Hidalgo, Kenneth Manuel, Charles Jagneaux, Daniel Manuel, Devin Gautreaux, and Brandon Gautreaux.
The family will begin receiving guests at the funeral home on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 12 noon, until 9:00 p.m., with a rosary being prayed at 6:00 p.m. by Mrs. Grace Tromblay.
