Port Barre-Funeral services for Timothy John T.J. Brown, Jr., 20, were held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 24, 2006, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre with burial following in St. Frances Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.

Father Nicky Trahan conducted the services.

Musical selections were provided by Valerie Andrus.

Mr. Brown was a resident of Port Barre and died on Sunday, June 18, 2006, in Melville. He was well known to his family and friends as T.J. He was employed by Pike Electric Co. as a Lineman. He loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter.

T.J. enjoyed and loved people and life. He was a kind, generous, and trustworthy going man. There wasn't anything he wouldn't do to help anyone he could. He will always be loved and missed by all that knew him. He touched so many in such a short time.

Survivors include his parents: Timothy John Tim Brown, Sr. and Sandra Hebert Brown of Port Barre; one sister, Felicia M. Brown of Port Barre; nieces and godchild, Payton Mire and niece, Keelee Lacashio of Lawtell; maternal grandmother, Hazel Dugas Hebert of Port Barre; paternal grandfather, Richard Milton Brown, Sr. of Oak Grove; uncles and aunts: Anthony Hebert and wife, Linda of Ingleside, TX; Kathleen Hebert Bradshaw of New Orleans; Pauline Guillory and husband, Bruce of Vidalia; Harry Hebert and wife, Sherry of Atlanta, GA; and Nickie Brown of Show Low, AZ; and numerous cousins.
