Thomas Horne

Opelousas- Funeral services for Thomas Tommy Horne, age 83, will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 26, 2009, at the Unity Baptist Church of Lawtell, interment will follow in Prudhomme Cemetery in Swords, LA. Pastor Greg Gaspard and Chaplin Patrick Braquet will conduct the service.

Mr. Thomas was born in EL Dorado, Arkansas. He died on October 23, 2009, at his home in Lawtell, LA.

He enjoyed reading and watching sports on T.V. He was the Master Mason of the Rudolph Krouse Lodge 433. He was also a past Deacon of the Murray Street Baptist Church.

Mr. Thomas is survived by his three sons; Thomas Michael Horne, and wife Bertha of Larkspur, Colorado, Terry Horne, and wife Denise, of Lake Charles, and Stephen Horne of Jackson, Mississippi., one daughter; Shirley Horne Magnunson and husband Richard of Iowa, LA., His Companion Mrs. Bea Beatrice Faul, of Lawtell and her children; Vicky Baccus and husband Ed of Carencro, LA.; step-daughters, Tammy Bihm and husband Joey, of Lawtell, and Lisa Breaux and husband Roddy of Carencro, LA., Vicky Baccus and husband Ed of Carencro, La.; seven grandchilren, eight step-grandchildren, three step-great grandchildren. He is also survived by one nephew and one niece and numerous cousins.

Preceded in death by his parents, Rifton Thomas and Gracie Poole Horne, two sisters; Marie Wyble, and Jeanette Horne.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home on Sunday, October 25, 2009, from10:00 a.m. until 9:00 p.m. and Monday from 8:00 a.m. until 9:30 a.m.
