Thinh Nguyen

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial for Thinh Van Nguyen, age 54, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 1, 2014, in the Our Lady Queen of Angels Catholic Church. Interment will follow in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery. Fr. Tran will celebrate the Mass.
Thinh was a longtime residence of Henderson. He died on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at his home. He enjoyed fishing and his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.

Survivors include his wife, Maria Nguyen of Hammond, LA, children, Thong Van Nguyen, of North Carolina, Minh Thanh Nguyen of Houston, TX., Thom Thi Nguyen and husband, Cong of Baton Rouge, and Andrew Nguyen of Hammond, LA., brothers, Mau Van Nguyen of New Zealand, Ty Van Nguyen of Viet Nom, Thanh Van Nguyen and wife, Jackie of Sunset, Hinh Van Nguyen and Wife, Van of Beaux Bridge, Vuong Van Nguyen of Henderson, sister, Lien Thi Nguyen of Viet Nam, grandchildren, Isaac Khang Van Nguyen and Zoe Cha Thi Nguyen.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Vai Van and Soi Thi Nguyen.

The family request visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, February 28, 2014, beginning at 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m. and will reopen on Saturday morning at 7:00 a.m. until time of service at 9:30 a.m.
A rosary service will be prayed on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
The family wants to send a special thanks Hospice of Acadiana, his nurses, Susanne Stelly and Geralyn Comier, and all who help during his illness.
