Theresa Miller

Port Barre Mass of Christian burial for Theresa Miller will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the St. Bernard Cemetery. Fr. Daniel Picard will officiate the Mass.

Theresa was a resident Port Barre. She passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 82. She enjoyed going to the horse races and cooking for her family and friends. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, she will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Survivors include her husband, Alvin Miller of Port Barre, her children, James Ozenne and his wife, Mary, Joseph Miller and his wife, Jennifer, Liz Richard, Catherine Roy and her husband, Lester, and Christine Francois and her husband, Donnie, brother, Roy Lee Ozenne, sisters, Blanche Grimmett, Armonce Wyble and Marie Noel, eight grandchildren, Nicholas Miller, Katie Miller, Sadie Miller, Genny Roy, Brooklynn Francois, Emma Francois, Austin Francois, Shawn Fontenot, Nick Pitre, and Ashley Pitre.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ulysse and Elvina Portal Ozenne.

A rosary service will be prayed at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday evening in the Funeral Home Chapel.

Pallbearers will be, James Ozeene, Joseph Miller, Nicholas Miller, Donnie Francis, John Hamilton and Lester Roy.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Wednesday, September 3, 2014, beginning at 11:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. and will reopen Thursday at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:30 a.m.
