Theresa Terri Thibodeaux Bertrand

Port Barre Funeral services for Theresa Terri Thibodeaux Bertrand, age 68, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, March 12, 2011, with a mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Port Barre.
Fr. Daniel Picard will officiate the services.
Terri was a longtime resident of Port Barre. She died on Thursday, March 10, 2011, at her home in Port Barre. She was a care giver she really loved cooking for her family she also loved being with her grandchildren. Terri enjoyed entertaining family and friends at her home.
Survivors include her husband, John Wilson Bertrand, Sr. of Port Barre, one son John Wilson Bertrand Jr. and wife Tracey of Leonville, and one daughter Janet Lynn Bertrand of Opelousas, her brothers Myrtline Thibodeaux and wife, Enola, of Duson, Luke Thibodeaux Jr., Robert Thibodeaux and wife Helen, of Lafayette, Davis Thibodeaux and wife, Becky of Eunice, Harran Thibodeaux and wife, Vera, of Opelousas, Darold Thibodeaux and wife, Ethel of Opelousas, James Thibodeaux and wife, Arlene of Opelousas, Joseph Thibodeaux and wife Gail of Opelousas, and Anthony Thibodeaux and wife, Jackie of Opelousas, sisters Lee Anna Dalton and husband Benny of Houston, TX., Anna Janise and husband Hammie of Port Barre, Dorothy Thibodeaux, of Sulphur, Rose Duplechain and husband, Jimmy of Duson, Della Thibodeaux, of Dallas Tx., Priscllia Martel and husband, Steve of Eunice, a life long friend of the family Roxanne Oconner of Opelousas, four grandchildren John Gaberiel Bertrand, Marissa Jeanne Bertrand, Kristin Michelle Bertrand, and Matthew Isacc Bertrand, and two great grandchildren, Kullen Pantier and Brayden Pantier, and a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents Luke and Lydia Marie Leger Thibodeaux, sister, Bernella Ann Thibodeaux and Mary Loretta Thibodeaux, Nathaniel Thibodeaux, Chris Thibodeaux, Keith Wooten, Keith Jeremy Wooten, Calob Logan Wooten, Dustin Harran Thibodeaux, Steven Thibodeaux, Jonathon Thibodeaux, Victoria Paige Thibodeaux, Brennan Seth Thibodeaux, Edna Mae Thibodeaux, Scotty Richard, and Jimmy York.
The family would like to send a special thanks to Hospice Comassus and Our lady Lourdes of Lafayette.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre on Saturday March 12, 2011 at 8:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.
