Thelvy Savoy

Grand Coteau A Mass of Christian Burial for Thelvy Marie PreJean Savoy age, 93 will be at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2012, in St. Charles Catholic Church in Grand Coteau. Rite of Committal will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau, with Father James Lambert Celebrant.
Thelvy passed away on Monday April 16, 2012 at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home.
Thelvy enjoyed sewing, crocheting, and cooking. She was a fantastic gardener, and sang in the Church Choir, at St. Charles Church. She was a wonderful and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
She is survived by her children Leonard D. Savoy and wife, Carolyn of Sunset, and Drusilla Paul and husband, Carl of Elizabeth LA, sister Helen P. Larcade, of Arnaudville five grandchildren Angela Kirkpatrick, Leonard David Savoy II, Leigh Anne Savoy, Edward Paul and Carl William Paul, eight great grandchildren, Hunter Paul, Madeline Paul, Eva Paul, Lulu Paul, Chance Paul, Ava Kirkpatrick, Aiden Kirkpatick, and Raylee Hensen
She was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Herb Frank Savoy, her parents Alycee and Edmonia Castille PreJean, brothers Floyd and Johnny PreJean, sisters Gladys PreJean and Eula Mae PreJean Hebert.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 17, 2012, from 3:30 pm to 9 pm in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau. On Wednesday, visitation will continue from 8 am until 10:00 am in the funeral home. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home in Arnaudville.
