Thelma Davis

Grand Coteau A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 3, 2013, in the Sibille Funeral Home chapel, for Thelma Davis. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery.

Thelma was a native Sunset and longtime resident of Lafayette. She passed away on Monday, July 29, 2013, at her home, at the age of 82.

Thelma loved playing cards, cooking, music, and family gatherings. She enjoyed dressing up for any occasions. She will be sadly missed by all her family and friends.

Thelma was survived by her children, John Davis and wife, Patricia, Eugene Davis, Lorena Lagrange, Patricia Angelle and husband, Lawrence, Sadie Davis all of Lafayette, brothers, Calvin Adams, of Sunset, Larry Adams of Houston TX., Ervin Adams of Sunset, Cyril Adams of Lafayette, sisters, Edorsey Duplechain, Mary Ann Adams, both of Sunset, 15 grandchildren and 36 great grandchildren.

Thelma was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Adam Davis, her parents, Peter and Lorena Savoie Adams.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Saturday, August 3, 2013, from 8 a.m. until 2:00 p.m.
