Sydney Clum, Jr.

October 14, 1957 — March 18, 2022

Port Barre – A Funeral Service will be held for Sydney Warren Clum on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, at 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Port Barre. Brother Benji Richard will conduct the service. Burial will follow at Baptist Cemetery in Melville.

Sydney, age 64, entered into eternal rest on Friday, March 18, 2022, at his home with his loving wife by his side. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

Sydney was a honorary member of the Black Hawks in Leesville, LA. Sydney worked as a painter offshore for Chevron painting helicopter landings and also painting airplanes in Texas. He worked at the Sawmill in Florien, LA. Sydney helped build and paint housing at Fort Polk for Pat Williams. He helped build the Library in Leesville. His tools are buried at the front door. He was also the manager of MTV furniture store on Fort Polk. He worked J B Hanks and Chris Higginbotham at the Catfish and Crawfish ponds, and also RSC in Lebeau. For the last 7 years he worked at Automotive Gear as a front-end technician.

Sydney is survived by his loving wife of 23 Years, Wanda Ann Savant Clum of Port Barre; son, Bron Warren Clum of Evans, LA; daughter, Crystal Dawn Clum of New Llano, LA; stepdaughter, Alisha Robinson (Joseph) of Abbeville; brother, Kevin Clum of Ohio, and Roger Clum (Bety) of Copper Cove, TX; three grandchildren, Wyatt, Natalie, and Alivia; and 4 step-grandchildren, Amiir, Abraham, Branhan and Layden, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Sydney is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney Clum, Sr., and Alice South Withers; sister, Lisa Brand; nephew, Bobby Brand and mother-in-law, Wanda Penny, grandson, Shawn Binion, Jr.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2022, from 8:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre.
