Steven Beard

Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Steven James Beard, age 30, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, August 13, 2010, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel in Opelousas. Private Interment will follow at a later date.
Rev. Bobby Gradney will officiate the services.
He was a native of Lafayette and was a resident of Port Barre. He died on Saturday, August 7, 2010, in Port Barre. He was a carpenter for many years.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Idahmay Dupuis Beard one stepson, Joshua Powers two stepdaughters, Caitlin Beard and Neva Powers his father, James Beard one brother, Douglas Doug Beard his fatherinlaw, Ernest Ernie Dupuis motherinlaw, Johnni Dupuis paternal grandparents, Harold and Ann Beard and maternal grandparents, Charles and Joyce Wattigny.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Kathleen Wattigny.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, August 13, 2010, from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.
The family will be having a gathering and a reception at 5 p.m. on Friday in the Lions Club Hall in Port Barre.
