Funeral services for Steven Anders known to many as Stevie, age 40, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 31, 2009, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Benny Reppond will officiate the services.

He was a resident of Melville. He died on Saturday, October 24, 2009, in the Opelousas General Health System.

Steven Anders was born September 11, 1969 in Chicago, Illinois to the union of Howard and Lucinda Anders. Steven was the youngest of five children.

He confessed Christ at the early age of 8 and was baptized at Greater Garfield M.B. Church in Chicago, Illinois under the leadership of the late Pastor Henderson. He later became a member of Evangel World Outreach Center under the leadership of Pastor Dr. Ray Berryhill. He then joined Emma Zion M.B. Church in Melville, LA., under the leadership of Pastor Fontenot where he served until his death.

Steven attended Ryerson and Brian Piccolo elementary schools, Orr high school, and graduated from the Chicago Loop Jr. Collage Double E program. He also completed security training at Intel Security Training Center and worked as a security guard until he became ill.
P He leaves to cherish his memory his loving parents: Howard and Lucinda Anders; four brothers: Howard, Jr. of Palmetto LA; Dennis Virginia of Chicago, IL; Bobby Lisa, and Allen Onicheal Anders of Melville, LA; one sister, Alice Denise Anders of Chicago, IL; seven nephews: Christopher, Dennis, Bobby Jr., Byron, Josh, Chico, and Elliot; seven nieces: Sheba, Britani, Deonca, Christie, Christian, Ashley, and Cortney; and a host of uncles
