Steve Fontenot

Port Barre-A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016, at 4:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church for, Steven O. Fontenot. Fr. Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Steve was a resident of Port Barre. He died on Wednesday, September 21, 2016, at his home, at the age of 57. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, and hanging out with his family and friends.

Steve is survived by his mother, Joyce Leger Fontenot of Port Barre, his daughter, Taylor Fontenot of Sunset, his sister, Tina Taylor and her husband, Lane of Port Barre, niece, Jessica Lagneaux and her fiancé, Jardan Leger of Krotz Springs, nephew, Derek Lagneaux and his fiancé Kelsey Reed of Sunset, great-nephews, Lance, Andre' and Dawson Leger, and one great-niece, Audrey Lagneaux.

Steve is preceded by his father, Ellia J. Fontenot.

Visitation will be held on Friday, September 23, 2016, from 9:00 p.m. until 3:30 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home in Port Barre.

A Rosary service are pending at this time for Friday evening in the funeral home.
