Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Shirley Wyble, age 67, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, February 2, 2011, with a Mass of Christian Burial in Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Hall in Washington. Interment will follow in the Cedar Hill Cemetery.
Father Albert Nunez will be the celebrant for the Mass.
Shirley was a native of Waxia and a longtime resident of Washington. She died on Sunday, January 30, 2011, at Opelousas General Health System.
She was a homemaker who loved to cook. She enjoyed being with her family and friends especially when they would gather to enjoy her signature dishes.
Survivors include her husband, Benjamin Ray Wyble, Jr. of Washington two sons: Kenneth Wyble and wife, Angie of Big Cane and Danny Wyble and wife, Kandi of Saucier, MS one daughter, Christie Elder and husband, Todd of Washington three sisters: Mildred Ledoux of Washington Anna Lee Buschel and husband, Ronald of Washington and Betty Stelly and husband, Jeffery of Washington and eight grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Morain and Hilda LeBlanc Morain and one brother, Pat Morain.
Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Tuesday, February 1, 2011, from 3 p.m. until 10 p.m. On Wednesday, visitation will continue in the funeral home from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m.
A Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday evening in the funeral home.
