Shirley Stoute

Opelousas-A Mass of Christian Burial for Shirley Stoute will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 14, 2017, in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church. Fr. Gregory Simien will conduct the Mass. Interment will follow in the Myrtle Grove Cemetery.

Shirley was a resident of Opelousas; she passed away on Tuesday, December 12, 2017, at Opelousas General Health System, at the age of 79. Mrs. Stoute was a door greeter at Wal-Mart for 20 years where she always had a smile on her face, putting one on yours.

She is survived by her children, Geneva Saucier and her companion Charles Melancon of Port Barre, Barbie Soileau and her husband, Brain of Port Barre, grandchildren, James Brent Saucier, Adam Blake Saucier and wife, Chelsie, Dylan Galloway and wife, Tiffany, Jase Soileau, and Layne Soileau, great grandchildren, Drake Saucier, Bryson Saucier, Kassidy Marks, Kaeleigh Ozanne, Hudson Saucier, Ellie Saucier, and Jolie Saucier.

Preceded in death by her husband, Arthur Guillory, parents, Russell and Ruby Stoute.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from 2:00 p.m. until time of service on Thursday. A Rosary Service will be held at 6:30 p.m.
