Shirley Chachere

OPELOUSAS-Funeral service for Shirley Lyle Chachere, age 84, will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, in Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Msgr. Keith J. DeRouen will conduct the Service.

Shirley passed away on Sunday, November 29, 2015, at Senior Village Nursing Home. He was a Veteran of U.S. Navy. Graduated from SLI in 1959. Worked as an Insurance adjuster for 34 years with Travelers Insurance Company. He followed USL Sports, he enjoyed running and jogging. He will be sadly missed by all his family and friends.
He is survived by his son, Kevin Chachere of Lafayette, brother, James "Jimmy" Chachere and his wife, Hilda of Harvey, LA., sister, Bettye Mack of San Antonio, Texas.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Louise Ward Chachere, his parents, A. Ryan and Mary Alice Haw Chachere, step sons, Bobby and Gary McBride. His brothers, Gerald L., Sr., Ryan E. Sr., Charles R., and Huey P. Chachere.
The family requested visiting hours on Wednesday, December 2, 2015, from 8:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas.
