Sherri Stelly

OPELOUSAS- Burial will be held at a later date at the Subiaco Monastery in Subiaco, Arkansas.

Ms. Sherri, age 58, passed away on Friday, September 15, 2017 at her residence. Sherri worked for many years at Opelousas Junior High School. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her yard and spending her free time shopping. Sherri will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her father, Charles R. East of Hammond, LA; the father of her children, Tommy Stelly (Sissy) of Lafayette, LA; sons, Zachary Stelly (Anne Marie) of Harvey, LA and Christian Stelly of Subiaco Abbey, AR; step-children, Mike McBride, Jr. (Jessie) of North Carolina, Amie Young (Steve) of Tampa, FL, Kyle, Kelly and Bryan McBride of Texas; brothers, David East (Jacquelyn) of Gulf Shores, AL, Scott East (Renee) of Tylertown, MS; grandchild, Ryen Reynolds; her best friend and caretakers, Donna Outlaw (Lee). She is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her partner of many years, Mike McBride, Sr.;her mother, Gloria Fairbanks East; and former in-laws, Andy and Zetta Stelly.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to her best friends and caretakers, Donna and Lee for loving her and always being there for her, they will always be a part of our family.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Sherri's name to Subiaco Abbey, 405 N. Subiaco Ave, Subiaco, AR 72865.
