Opelousas, La Funeral services for Mrs. Sharon Marie Prudhomme Babineaux,54, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 5, 2007, in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel. Private interment will be held after the service.

Rev. Benny Reppond will conduct the services.

Sharon was born in New Iberia, La, and was currently residing in Parks, La. She was a homemaker, a devoted wife, and a loving mother to her children, and grandchildren. Sharon was also a registered nurse for 30 years having worked in several local hospitals and Senior Village Nursing Home of Opelousas, La. She received her Associates Degree in Nursing from LSU of Eunice.

Survivors include her husband, Larry D. Babineaux of Opelousas, La; two sons: Jefery Dax Babineaux and James Christopher Jimmy Babineaux of Opelousas, La; two daughters, Tiffany Babineaux Chandler and Alleson Babineaux Evans of Opelousas, La; one brother, Paps Prudhomme of Baton Rouge, La; two sisters, Glenda Prudhomme of Denham Springs, La. and Patricia Pat Prudhomme of Houston, Tx. Sharon also was blessed by five grandchildren.

Sharon was proceeded in death by her parents John C. and Emma Brasseaux Prudhomme.

Visiting hours will be observed on Monday, November 5, 2007, from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas, La.

In Lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to help defray the funeral expenses.
