A Memorial Service will be held for Shannon Angelle Stelly at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 8, 2019 in the Sibille Funeral Home in Grand Coteau. Pastor David Hunter will officiate the service.Visitation will be held from 12 noon until 6:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Inurnment will be held at a later date.
Shannon Angelle Stelly died at Ochsner Foundation Hospital in New Orleans on June, 4 2019, with her family by her side. She was born in New Iberia, LA on October 2, 1983.
Shannon graduated from Academy of the Sacred Heart in Grand Coteau in 2001 where she was in the equestrian program. Her favorite job was working with her dad at his poultry in Eunice. Shannon was an avid reader, animal lover (especially horses) and she enjoyed crocheting and making bracelets. She loved music, movies, playing video games and painting nails with her daughter, Raven. She loved dogs so much that she could never say no to a stray.
Shannon was deeply loved by her family and friends and touched the lives of all whom she met. She will never be forgotten.
She is survived by her parents, Randy and Jenny Bailey Stelly of Sunset; beloved daughter, Raven Kiffe; brother, Jeffrey and wife, Sarah Lamke Stelly; niece, Emma Grace of Church Point; grandmothers, Elsie Stelly of Eunice and Francis Bailey of Tamarac, FL; uncles, Ricky Stelly of Lafayette, Craig Stelly of Lafayette and Frank Bradford Bailey and wife, Emi of Japan; aunts, Michelle Stelly and husband, Lynn of Arnaudville, Julie Bailey Korotzer and husband, Lee of Tamarac, FL; godchild, Beaux Fisher; and numerous cousins.
She was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Leon Stelly of Eunice and Frank A. Bailey, Jr. of Iota; and uncle, Kirk Stelly of Eunice.
A heartfelt thanks goes out to the nurses and doctors at Ochsner Foundation Hospital, who worked diligently to care for Shannon. Special thanks to Dr. Mark Bell.
