Opelousas Funeral services for Mr. Seth Patrick Labbe, age 22, will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 10, 2008, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Opelousas, followed by interment in the Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas. The Reverend Gary Schexnayder will celebrate the Mass.

Seth was born and raised in Opelousas. He passed away on Saturday, June 7, 2008, at Opelousas General Health Systems.

Seth was a loving son, grandson, brother, cousin, friend, manager and fianc. Seth and Krystal were to be married on June 21, 2008. He was always the life of the party and was never shy to speak his mind. Seth was a trooper, he fought asthma all his life and now his fight has ceased. Seth's new found passion was motorcycle riding with family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his fianc, his parents, his sister, family and friends. He led a happy and joyful life and lived it to the extreme. It was Seth's wish to be an organ donor; he is still giving to others. Seth was a 2003 Graduate of Opelousas Catholic. He was also the manager of Cycle Gear in Lafayette. Just remember, he will always be Racing for the Lime.

Survivors include his parents, Ted and Melinda Labbe of Opelousas; his fianc, Krystal Richard of Opelousas; one sister, Amanda Menard and husband, Travis of Opelousas; his Maternal Grandparents, Melvin Boone and Helen Boss of Opelousas; his Paternal Grandparents, Murray and Kathleen Labbe of Opelousas; and his Maternal Great Grandfather Wilsey Noel. Three uncles, Barry and wife Joan of League City, TX, Bryan and wife Gina of Opelousas and Kevin Godfather and wife Lori of Sunset. One aunt, Brenda Godmother and husband Ronnie of Opelousas.

He was preceded in death by his Paternal Great Grand Parents Eraste and Cassie Charles and Carlton and Mary Labbe. His Maternal Great Grandparents: Abbie and Mydia Boss, and Lena Noel.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Monday, June 9, 2008, from 4:00 p.m. until 9 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until the time of services.

A Rosary will be recited by Deacon Thomas Lindsey at 7:00 p.m. on Monday Evening in the Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Nick Perkins, Jeffery Ellis, Whitney Fontenot, Jason Moreau, Travis Menard and BJ Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Brandon Taylor and Kevin Labbe.
