Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Sadie Stoute Metrejean, 89, will be held at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel and entombment will follow in Holy Sepulcher Mausoleum.

Father Paul Metrejean will conduct the services.

Mrs. Metrejean, a native and a resident of Opelousas, died at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 27, 2006, at Maison de Ville Nursing Home. She was a retail sales clerk with T G Y for many years.

Survivors include two brothers: Cedrick Stoute and wife, Cherri of Bridge City, TX; and Frank Howard Stoute and wife, Hazel of Port Barre; four sisters: Twin Madie Brignac of Opelousas; Doris Richard of Nederland, TX; Genevieve Darbonne and husband, Cliff of Opelousas; and Joyce Taylor and husband, Wayne of Breaux Bridge; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mrs. Sadie was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Metrejean; her parents, Frank and Rita Nezat Stoute; five brothers: Lester, Sidney, Cecil, Lee, and Alvin Stoute; and two sisters: Esther Wyble and Rita Aymond.

The family would like to extend Special thanks to Father Paul Metrejean for assisting the family and the entire staffs of LA Hospice Palliative Care and Maison de Ville Nursing Home.

Visiting hours will be observed on Tuesday, August 29, 2006, from 9 a.m. until the time of services in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. A rosary will be recited at 11 a.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.
