Ruby Mistric

Opelousas A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2013, at St. Leo Catholic Church for, Ruby Carriere Mistric. Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Leo Cemetery. Father Ken Domingue will celebrate the Mass.

Ruby was a resident of Metairie, LA., for the past 38 years. She passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2013, at Canon Hospice in Metairie, LA., at the age of 93.

Survivors include her children, Amos Lee Mistric and wife, Linda, John Earl Mistric and wife, Louise, Juanita Guidroz all of Metairie, and Betty Ann Billiot and husband, Maxwell of Metairie, LA., brother, Bray Carriere of Houston, TX., sisters, Bessie Turner, of Houston, TX., Rosa Belle Meche of Lafayette, Mary Boatner of Bunkie, and Dorothy Nix of Opelousas, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and thirteen great great grandchildren,

She was preceded in death by her husband, Elie Joseph Mistric, her parents, Amos Carrier and Bessie Carriere Devillier, 15 brothers and sisters, and son n law, Yves Guidroz.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas on Friday, June 7, 2013, from 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m.

A Rosary service will be held on Friday morning in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Albert Guidroz, Tommy Guidroz, David Guidroz, Kevin Mistric, John Mistric, Sr. and Darell Danos.
