Roxana Mtanyos

Grand Coteau A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 2, 2012, at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Grand Coteau, LA, for Mrs. Roxana Theriot Mtanyos. Private Rite of Committal and interment will follow in the St. Charles Cemetery in Grand Coteau, LA, at a later date. Rev. Father James Lambert will celebrate the Mass.

Mrs. Roxana was a longtime resident of Sunset. She passed away on Friday, September 28, 2012, at Lafayette General Medical Center, at the age of 50. She was a Mentor Teacher with the St. Landry Parish Headstart for 17 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She was a wonderful, loving, and caring wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and grandmother. She was a very good friend and will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her. Roxana will continue to be a blessing to many others through the gifts of life which she is providing through her donation to the Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency And she will be forever our Hero

Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Nabil Mtanyos of Sunset her father, James J. Theriot of Sunset two sons, Nicholas Mtanyos of Vatican and Joshua Mtanyos of Sunset one daughter, Rajah Fielder and husband, Chad of Lafayette two brothers, Brad McBride of Carencro and Mark McBride and wife, Deanna of Breaux Bridge one sister, Melissa Duplechin and husband, Bill of Cottonport 3 grandchildren: Michala Fielder, Grace Guidry, and Kadin Fielder.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Shirley Guidry and her grandmother, Jeanne Guidry.

Pallbearers will be Chad Fielder, Brad McBride, Mark McBride, Trevor McBride, Collin McBride, and Justin Prejean. Honorary pallbearers will be Darrel Guidry and Steve Daigle.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Grand Coteau on Monday, October 1, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continue from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home.

A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
