Rose Marie Guidroz Eidissen

Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Rose Marie Guidroz Eidissen, age 49, will be held at 2: 00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 7, 2007, with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre. Interment will follow in the Sacred Heart Cemetery Mausoleum. Father Nicky Trahan will officiate the services.

Mrs. Eidissen, was a native of Opelousas area and resident of Port Barre. She died at 2:20 p.m. on Sunday, November 4, 2007, in Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette. She was a Quality Control Manager for Performance Contractors in Baton Rouge for 15 years. She was a loving wife and devoted mother, sister, grandmother, stepmother and step grandmother. She will be sadly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, Joseph Joe Eidissen of Opelousas ; two daughters: Christie Lacassin and husband, Ryan of Carencro; and Crystal Simmons of Lafayette; three brothers: John Allen Guidroz, Jr. and wife, Janice of Port Barre; Richard Guidroz and wife, Rhonda of Natchitoches; and Marcel Guidroz and wife, Traci of Moss Bluff; three sisters: Debra Guidroz of Pecaniere; Anita Guidroz of Opelousas; and Carolyn Soileau and husband, Moe of Port Barre; one granddaughter, Averi Ryann Lacassin of Carencro; her mother-in-law, Mary Eidissen of Prairieville; father-in-law, Raymond Eidissen of Donaldsonville; step daughter, Amber Lynne Eidissen Landry and husband, Keith of Donaldsonville; step grandson, Sam Landry of Donaldsonville; brother-in-law, Eric Eidissen of Gonzales; sisters-in-law: Tonja Eidissen, Twjan Eidissen, and Shannon Eidissen, all of Gonzales. She is also survived by her first husband, Aubrey Thibodeaux of Lawtell.

Mrs. Rose was preceded in death by her parents: John Allen Guidroz, Sr. and Josephine Silva Guidroz; and one sister, Donna Marie Thibodeaux.

Visiting hours will be observed on Tuesday, November 6, 2007, beginning at 12:00 p.m. noon until 10:00 p.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas. On Wednesday, visitation will continue for the public from 8:00 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

A rosary will be recited at 7:00p.m. on Tuesday in the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Dustie Thibodeaux, Ryan Lacassin, Brad Stelly, Beau Guidroz, Chad Guidroz, and Blake Lavergne.
