Port Barre A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 26, 2014, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Port Barre, LA, for Rose Mary Landry Dupre, age 71 who passed away on Sunday, August 24, 2014 at residence. Rite of Committal and interment followed in the Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Port Barre, LA. Rev. Father Daniel Picard will celebrate the Mass Service.

Rose was a longtime resident of Port Barre. Rose was very active in public service for the Port Barre area. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with them. Rose was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend to all that knew her. She is going to be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include her husband, Hurlin Dupre of Port Barre mother, Lorena Landry of Port Barre sons, David Dupre and wife Denise of Port Barre, Steven Dupre and wife Rachel of Port Barre daughter, Julie Mills of Port Barre brothers, Ernest Landry of Port Barre, Andrew Landry of Port Barre and six grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her father, Willis Landry, daughters, Tammy Jo and Shelia Dupre and brother, Sidney Landry.

Visiting hours will be observed in the Sibille Funeral Home of Port Barre on Monday, August 25, 2014, from 2 p.m. until 10:00 p.m. On Tuesday, visitation will continued from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. A Rosary service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Monday evening in the funeral home.
