Opelousas Funeral services for Mrs. Rosa Belle Castille, the former Rosa Belle Lanclos, 81, will be held at 3:00pm Saturday, July 15, 2006 with a Mass of Christian Burial in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Bellevue Memorial Park Cemetery in Opelousas.

Msgr. Louis Melancon will conduct the services.

Mrs. Castille, a long time resident of Opelousas, native of Arnaudville, died at 6:25AM Friday July 14, 2006 at Our Lady of the Oaks Nursing Home in Lafayette.

Mrs. Castille was a Homemaker and a long time member of Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church.

In her spare time Mrs. Castille enjoyed painting, music, dancing, and cooking for family and friends. Rosa was an excellent cook, devoted wife, loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She will be dearly missed and shall remain in our hearts forever.

Survivors include one son Rayford Castille and wife, Debbie of Eunice, four daughters Anna Jane Castille Janise and husband, Sidney of Lafayette, Angela LaGuardia of Lafayette, Brenda Deville of Opelousas, Linda Latiolais and husband, Keith of Opelousas. Mrs. Castille is also survived by two brothers Orest Lanclos of Waskom, TX and Ervin Lanclos of Opelousas. Eleven grandchildren and eight great grandchildren also survive Mrs. Castille.

Rosa was preceded in death by her husband, Elrick Castille, one brother, Mr. Merlin Paul Lanclos, and one sister, Mary Jane Bellard.

Visiting hours will be observed from 5:30-10:30 pm on July 14, 2006 in the Sibille Funeral Home of Opelousas and re-open Saturday July 15, 2006 at 8:00am until service time. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday in the funeral home.
