Rosa Aymond

Port Barre- A Mass of Christian Burial will be held for Rosa Mae Aymond on Monday, February 21, 2022, at 12:30 p.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Fr. Clint Trahan will celebrate the Mass. Rite of Committal will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery.

Rosa, age 94, a resident of Port Barre entered into eternal rest on Saturday, February 18, 2022, at Senior Village Nursing Home.

Rosa loved to read, walk, cook, visit with her family and friends, country music and family gatherings.

She is survived by her sons, Donald Aymond and his wife, Darlene, and Danny Aymond and his wife Gloria, daughter, Rose Higginbotham and her husband, Kenneth, daughters-in-law, Juanita Aymond and Sally Aymond, brother, James Fontenot, and a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by husband, Russell Aymond, her parents, August and Clara Fontenot, sons, Russell Wayne Aymond and Bobby Aymond, brothers, Edward Fontenot and Robert Fontenot, sister, Pearl Alphonse.

Visitation will be held on Monday, February 21, 2022, from 9:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. with a rosary at 10:30 a.m. in the Sibille Funeral Home Chapel.
